Jose Goncalves

Born in Lisbon but raised in Switzerland, Jose Goncalves is already a well-travelled player, despite his youth. His career has seen him take in six clubs in four different countries, as well as becoming a Portuguese under-21 international. Happy at left-back or centre-half, the 21-year-old has struggled with injuries since arriving in Scotland, but Goncalves has ambitions to progress to the higher echelons of the European game.

Bruno Aguiar

A product of the Benfica academy, midfielder Bruno Aguiar left his homeland to join Hearts in January 2006, having struggled to make an impact at the Estadio da Luz. Aguiar was capped at under-21 level early in his career, and has become a solid performer since his move to Edinburgh, winning the Scottish Cup in 2006.
