A big reason why Uniao de Leiria came close to making it into Europe last season comes in the shape of their goalkeeper, Fernando.

The Brazilian shot-stopper compiled an impressive tally of 13 clean sheets in league play alone. A lynchpin of their rearguard, Leiria will again look to their man between the pipes to replicate his form and have another fine season.
