Good times roll on for Setubal
Naval 1-2 Vitoria Setubal
The good times roll on for Vitoria Setubal as the club booked themselves a place in the semi-finals of the Portuguese Cup with a 2-1 over Naval.
Leandro and Robson made sure that Setubal made progress with Paulao sandwiching a goal in between.
Naval registered the game’s first good opportunity in the 12th minute as Marinho’s culing effort just missed at the far post. The hosts came close again moments before the break as Marcelinho tried his luck with a similar effort that scraped just past the post.
Setubal were nowhere to be found in Naval’s final third of the field and so it came as a surprise in the 59th minute when second-half substitute Leandro, looking suspiciously offside, nudged the ball into the net to give the visitors the lead.
Things got worse for the hosts as Saulo was then shown a straight red card for vociferously protesting the goal.
Playing with ten men, Naval levelled the scores just five minutes later as towering defender Paulao headed a China corner kick into the net to put the hosts back into the game.

But the home fans’ joy was short-lived as Setubal regained the lead five minutes later when Robson headed a pinpoint Pitbull cross past Taborda.
Setubal almost added a third in added time, but Pitbull failed to dribble past Taborda and ended up hitting the side-netting.
Setubal march into the semi-finals and will be confident of reaching the final for the third time in four years.
