Lyon still in Lisandro hunt as Joffre Guerron linked with Porto

Porto braced for second approach for Argentine

lisandroFrench club Lyon remain keen on recruiting FC Porto’s Argentina international forward Lisandro Lopez despite having an opening bid turned down, according to reports.

The former Ligue 1 champions made an approach for Lisandro last week, but their offer for the 26-year-old was rejected by the Dragons, who are thought to value the player at his full release clause, which stands at 20m Euros.

However, reports in France suggest Lyon will return to negotiations with an improved bid, although it remains to be seen whether their new assault will meet the valuation of the Portuguese champions.

Meanwhile, Ecuadorian paper El Comercio have claimed that international winger Joffre Guerron could be on his way to the Estadio Dragao in the near future. The 24-year-old endured a difficult season in Spain with Getafe last year, and is currently training with former club Liga de Quito in his homeland.

The pacey wide player was linked with Porto last year shortly before helping Quito to a historic Copa Libertadores triumph. Guerron, who is also believed to have offers from Argentine clubs River and San Lorenzo, has eleven caps for his country and scored his first senior goal at international level earlier this year.
