Star man - Danilo Dias
Continuing their policy of plucking largely unknown talents from the Brazilian backwaters, Maritimo seem to have unearthed another gem in Danilo Dias.
The forward was signed from Ipatinga in the summer of 2010, and quickly showed why many in his homeland thought he was deserving of a shot at a big club. Despite a slight build, his bewitching footwork allied to a high workrate immediately made him a fans' favourite. At 24 years of age Danilo certainly arrived in time to make a big name for himself in Portuguese football.
