Villas-Boas commits to AcademicaPortuguese coach making preparations for Coimbra club The future of Academica's Andre Villas-Boas has, perhaps, been laid to rest as the club's manager has admitted that he is already planning next season for the Estudantes.
Much has been made about the next destination for Jose Mourinho's former assistant as Villas-Boas had been linked wih the Sporting and FC Porto jobs. But the Academica boss has cooled speculation by confessing that he is focused on improving all sectors of the squad. "We will start defining the squad, the objectives that we want to achieve, evaluate the players whose contracts are ending and whose we want to renew," said Villas-Boas to Renascenca. "A series of questions have to be thought about because Academica are always growing." "We will always be a selling club because this is the reality at Academica, but in any event, there are objectives that we want to achieve for the future if we take a bit of a gamble." "We have to think about the future and estimate things now that the objective of staying up has been achieved. Now we can look to the future with the will to grow and achieve other objectives." by Marco Pereira Add your comment |
