Conceicao hopeful ahead of Porto clash

Blues will look to take advantage of champions' indifferent form

antonioconceicao.jpgThe Portuguese Cup resumes tomorrow and Belenenses are feeling rather confident of their chances of progressing in the tournament despite hosting heavyweights FC Porto.

The Dragoes are coming off two consecutive demoralising draws against Academica and Pacos de Ferreira, and for Belenenses boss Antonio Conceicao, this is the perfect time for his side to face the 14-time cup winners.

"We have hope that we will have a good match," declared Conceicao. "One thing is in our favour and that is motivation. I expect that the motivation brings peaks of transcendency to my players."

"We will be facing an FC Porto with wounded pride. The draw against Pacos de Ferreira could have shaken the team, act as a warning to their players, but this can also serve as a warning to Belenenses as well."
