Deco repeats desire to quit Chelsea for Inter

Midfielder wants Mourinho reunion

decoChelsea’s Portuguese international Deco has once again expressed his intent to leave English club Chelsea, and admits a move to Jose Mourinho’s Inter would be a good solution.

Luiz Felipe Scolari brought Deco to Stamford Bridge last summer from Barcelona after he was appointed Blues coach. However, the Brazilian was sacked in January and Deco has played a minor role for the Premiership club ever since.

Mourinho is rebuilding his Inter squad ahead of next season, and along with fellow Chelsea team-mate Ricardo Carvalho, is believed to have identified Deco as a possible reinforcement for the Nerazurri.

“I have a contract with Chelsea, but there are other offers,” Deco told Maisfutebol. “I want to feel happy and this is not the case at Chelsea. I want to find a club where I can once again find the joy of playing football.

“Of course I would love to work again with Mourinho, he guarantees success. He is a great manager, perhaps the best I’ve had in my career. I have a contract, but I know the two clubs have spoken.

“I do not want to stay here, as I have said already. In any case, I have to wait to see what happens, but I have not enjoyed my experience with Chelsea.”
