FC Porto to seal Walter dealStriker to finally sign The long-running saga of Walter’s proposed transfer from Internacional to FC Porto looks set to finally come to a conclusion, with the Brazilian expected to arrive in Portugal to complete his move to the Dragons.
It was believed that Porto had lost out to Shakhtar Donetsk in the race to land the 20-year-old, as the Ukrainians made a higher offer to the Porto Alegre club. However, it has now emerged that the player’s agent, Juan Figger, has bought Internacional’s share in the player, and has chosen to deal specifically with Porto. Figger, who was responsible for bringing Hulk to Porto, believes Portugal to be the better option in terms of developing his and enhancing his investment. As a result, Walter, who is currently believed to be in Sao Paulo, will travel to Porto in the next couple of days ahead undergoing medical examinations and hopefully signing a five-year contract. “Porto are a good team and I want to get out there and play my part,“ Walter told reporters. If all goes to plan, the Brazil under-20 international could make his debut in the blue and white colours in the friendly with Ajax on Sunday. I had him when I managed Lecce in FM2010. Did well for me (although injury-prone). I look forward to seeing him in the Spanish/French league in a couple of years when Porto will make 200/300% profit on him.

You will be surprised at Walter. Look at their goals in the South American Under-20 2009.

If Porto's supporters are so against Walter, please convince management NOT to sign him. I will thank you as I support Internacional of Porto Alegre :-)

I hate Porto and benfica for not developing players. Portois so stupid they have the talent int heir youth squads and instead loan them out and get brazilians. what happened to vierinha? zequinha? tangherinha? bruno gama? paulo machado? like wtf this is such bs and i hate this shi. all those players are better than the stupid brazilians they bring in, oh and lets not forget about helder barbosa. I also gurantee you that ukra will be loaned out to some shitty portuguese team as well. such bs man. I am a porto fan but lets be honest if it wasnt for sporting portugal wouldnt qualify for neither the euro nor world cup.
