When I score, I won't stop - DouglasStriker anxious to find back of the net Vitoria Guimaraes' Douglas has not lit the Liga Sagres on fire this year with his scoring exploits, but it doesn't mean that the striker is short on confidence, despite not bagging a single goal this season.
The 23-year-old has made 11 appearances for the minhoto side, but has not been able to find his scoring boots thus far. The Brazilian scored five goals last season before suffering a serious knee injury, keeping him action for six months. Still, Douglas is quite sure that when he nets his first goal, the floodgates will open. "I am only lacking a goal, but when I do start to score, I won't stop scoring," said the self-assured marksman. "I won't use my injury as an excuse. My knee is 100% and I am working hard, and will get the opportunities - I just need to score. What is most important is that the group and coaching staff have confidence in me."
