Micael still hoping for a moveMidfielder wants to play at one of Portugal's big three Nacional's Ruben Micael has, probably, turned some heads with his latest comments as the attacking midfielder has expressed his desire to move to a bigger club within Portugal and would jump at the chance as early as January.
The Portuguese starlet has been the subject of many transfer rumours, dating back to the off season. First, Benfica were touted as a possible destination in the summer, but a move never materialised as the player opted to remain in Madeira with the Alvinegros and play in the Europa League. Second, Sporting were linked with the 23-year-old in recent weeks, but the Lisbon side appear to have cooled their interest due to Nacional's financial demands. Now the player himself has confessed that he would jump at the chance to move to any of the big clubs in Portugal and added that he is also open to the idea of moving abroad should a switch to either Benfica, Sporting of FC Porto not come to pass. 'A big club is a big club'"At the moment there is nothing - only Nacional," confessed Micael to Renascenca. "The president knows what I've wanted for some time. My agent too knows should something come up.""The priority is to remain in Portugal and if it doesn't happen, we'll see. To me I'm indifferent (towards a move abroad), but I would like to play at a one of the big clubs in Portugal because I want to show what I can do. If it doesn't happen, I will show outside of Portugal what I'm capable of accomplishing." "Whether it's Sporting, Benfica or FC Porto - a big club is a big club."

Sporting need to take a real look at him and try to sign him. And yes he needs to be in one of the big Portuguese clubs to show queiroz that he's capable of playing at a very high level. Nacional want about 5.5 million for him, in which in my opinion is a bargain for his type of talent.

He needs serious attention he one of the leagues most important players in this league and to get more attention to it he's Portuguese. If it's not Benfica (my team) than somewhere else he deserves better. I'm only saying he needs to move because he needs his chance with the Seleccao, no offense to Nacional da Madeira.
