The draw for the league phase of the Champions League has taken place, with champions FC Porto and Sporting CP representing Portugal in this season’s competition.
Both clubs have been handed some of plumb ties. The Dragons will take on English Premier League teams Manchester City and Liverpool, as well as Italian outfit Napoli.
The standout ties for the Lions include games against both Manchester clubs (City away, United at home), as well as matches against Barcelona and Roma.

The full match schedule will be defined on Saturday 29 August. Matches in the league phase will be played from mid-September onwards, with the final matchday on 27 January 2027.
Teams finishing in the first eight positions in the 36-team league will qualify automatically for the round of 16, while clubs that finish in positions 9-24 will face a playoff to reach the last 16.
