Congratulations to Kylezinho Linhares and his “Pizzi Blinders” team who scored 78 points in Gameweek 9, and as such was the top-scoring team in the PortuGOAL Fantasy Football league.
It is a notable achievement given he did so without using any chips.
Some left-field choices came up trumps, namely the inclusion of Casa Pia midfielder João Rêgo (11 points) and Nacional defender Zé Vítor (8 points).
Kylezinho also chose his captain wisely this week, putting the armband on Gianluca Prestianni. The Benfica winger scored and assisted in a man-of-the-match performance against Santa Clara yesterday, earning Pizzi Blinders a whopping 24 points.

Hugo Pagani’s “Alheira Mecânica” stay top of the table, with a slender 6-point lead over second-placed “Baleizão FC” who swapped positions with “TBC” in the standings.
The top three scored a modest 54, 54 and 50 points respectively, allowing some of the chasing pace to make up ground. Only 21 points separate the top seven teams in the 95-team league.

Although joining the league this late means there is now no chance of troubling the leaderboard, as shown by Pizzi Blinders this week, everyone starts on zero at the start of each round with a chance of winning the accolade of the top-scoring team of the week.
