Real Madrid 4-1 RB Leipzig
Bernardo Silva scored his first goal for Real Madrid to set the Spanish giants on their way to an ultimately convincing victory over RB Leipzig in the Champions League.
José Mourinho's Real survived a difficult first half, during which the German visitors regularly threatened, to take the lead shortly before the break through Bernardo. The Portugal man prodded home from close range to open his account for his new club, following some classy team play with Bernardo at the heart of it. In the second half, Real's quality began to tell and goals from Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé were followed by a wonderful volley by new recruit Yan Diomande, while Tidiam Gomis got on the scoresheet for Leipzig.

“Bernardo? He's a great player and had a great game," Mourinho said after the final whistle. "He's another player who hadn't started a match in a few games. When the team has a player like him or Arda in midfield, they have more attacking options, more control, and more speed in transition.
"I'm very happy. I think we're going to need a lot of points in this Champions League stage to finish in the top eight. In that sense, we have to win as many points as possible. Right now we have nine and we're very close to qualifying for the playoffs, but we have to win the games. Bernardo has made me forget about Arda, and Camavinga has made me forget about Tchouameni . Bernardo is a great player.”
On the match itself, Mourinho added: "To be honest, Courtois was crucial. We know he's the best goalkeeper in the world, but I was expecting my team to be more in control since the beginning of the match.
"We weren't, so credit to Leipzig coach and players. But then we have this kind of power. When the engine goes at the highest speed, it's difficult [to stop].
"I'm here for a little over three months, it's not like I'm here three years. But I think the way we are playing is positive and I think in the Champions League you get that extra pressure of the history of Real Madrid.
"The players enjoy it and I'm really happy because nine points in three matches is positive."
Real Madrid's next match sees them meet fierce rivals Barcelona at Camp Nou on Sunday.
