Champions Manchester City and local rivals Manchester United played out a fairly drab goalless draw at Old Trafford on Sunday, but City boss Pep Guardiola was more entertaining during his post-match duties.
Speaking about City and Portugal midfielder Matheus Nunes, who featured at right-back, Guardiola dismissed the idea of the former Sporting man playing in his favoured midfield role, stating that Nunes is not “clever” enough in the position.
Wolverhampton Wanderers boss Vítor Pereira took charge of his 600th match as a manager on Saturday, celebrating the occasion with a victory over Ipswich to almost guarantee safety in the Premier League.
The win means Wolves are now 12 points clear of the drop zone with seven matches remaining, marking a stark turnaround under Pereira since he took charge at Molineux with the team in trouble back in December.
Milan 1-1 Inter
Sérgio Conceição believes his AC Milan side have shown signs of improvement during their last two matches, having benefitted from more training time compared to when he first arrived at the club.
Milan were held by Italian champions and city rivals Inter to a 1-1 draw at San Siro in the first leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final, but the Rossoneri’s encouraging performance was praised by the Portuguese after the match.
