Man Utd 1-0 Aston Villa

Bruno Fernandes scored a vital winning goal for Manchester United against Aston Villa on Sunday in the Premier League, as the Portugal midfielder admitted he is not at full fitness for the Red Devils.

Fernandes struck five minutes before half time to give United three points which hugely boosted their hopes of securing a top four finish and returning to Champions League football next season.

Rangers 0-1 Celtic

Portuguese forward Jota was the matchwinner in the Old Firm Derby this weekend as Scottish champions Celtic booked their place in the FA Cup final with victory over Rangers.

The Glasgow rivals met at Hampden Park to battle it out for the right to meet Inverness CT in the final on 2^nd June. One goal separated the sides on the day, with former Benfica man Jota heading the winner a few minutes before half time to keep the Hoops on course for a treble.

Portuguese boss Paulo Sousa is recovering his reputation in management in Italy with Salernitana. According to reports, Sousa will soon be offered a new contract to reward his performance since arriving in February.

Salernitana are currently unbeaten in eight Serie A matches, which has set a new club record run without defeat in the Italian league. With safety from relegation looking promising, it remains to be seen whether Sousa will choose to extend his stay in Campania.

Diogo Jota is truly back in goalscoring form. The Liverpool forward ended a run of almost 30 appearances without a goal by scoring twice against Leeds United last week, and Jota followed that up with another double this weekend as the Reds overcame Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Anfield.

Rafael Leão is also a man in form, with the AC Milan striker getting both goals as the Rossoneri beat Lecce 2-0 in Serie A at San Siro. Elsewhere in Serie A, Dany Mota struck in Monza’s victory over Fiorentina, while in Turkey Sérgio Oliveira scored from the spot to keep Galatasaray on-course for the Super Lig title.
