Nuno Espírito Santo says he expects Sunday’s match with Manchester United to be an emotional occasion, after it was announced that he will leave as Wolverhampton Wanders coach at the end of the season.

The Portuguese boss and the club have agreed he will step down after four years at the helm, during which Nuno has been an unqualified success in helping Wolves re-establish themselves in the Premier League.

Bruno Fernandes and Pedro Neto have won the award for Player of the Year at Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively after each enjoying outstanding seasons with the Premier League clubs.

It was a busy weekend of goalscoring for the Portuguese abroad contingent as leagues across Europe draw to a close. Cristiano Ronaldo is at the forefront of the action, having scored to help Juventus to a priceless victory over Inter in Italy to keep their chances of Champions League qualification alive.

Elsewhere, Bruno Alves produced a sensational goal in Serie A for relegated Parma, while Raphaël Guerreiro also found the net in spectacular fashion for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
