Roma 1-2 AC Milan
Rafael Leão scored his first goal of the season on Friday evening as AC Milan ran out 2-1 winners away at Roma, who welcomed José Mourinho back to the bench following suspension.
Roma boss Mourinho recently completed a two-match ban carried over from last season and was able to guide his team from the touchline. However, an impressive start from the visitors led to them being two goals up early in the second period, on a night which saw Mourinho had a debut to Romelu Lukaku.
Scottish champions Celtic have signed promising Portuguese midfielder Paulo Bernardo from Benfica on a season-long loan deal.
Bernardo, who has represented Portugal at every youth level, spent the second half of last season on-loan with Paços de Ferreira, but now ventures abroad for the first time in his career to play Champions League football at Celtic.
Barcelona have pulled off a sensational double Portuguese swoop on deadline day, landing Seleção stars João Cancelo and João Félix on loan deals.

Portuguese left-back Nuno Tavares has joined Premier League side Nottingham Forest on a season-long loan deal from Arsenal, with an option to buy.
Tavares returned to Arsenal this summer having spent last season with Marseille in France, but the former Benfica man found himself surplus to requirements at the Emirates. Instead, Tavares will remain in England in order to join an exciting young Forest side.
Manchester City added Portugal midfielder Matheus Nunes to their squad on deadline day, signing the former Sporting man from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five-year deal.
European champions City will reportedly pay Wolves a package totalling as much as €60m including add-ons for the Seleção man, who leaves Molineux after just one season with the club.
