Portuguese international Eder scored for Lokomotiv Moscow in their 2-1 win over Arsenal Tula on Sunday to help his team stay top of the Russian Premier League.

The experienced striker headed home in the first half to score his 4^th goal of the season, meaning Eder has already beaten his goal tally in all competitions from last season with Lokomotiv.

It has proved a weekend of mixed results for the Portuguese trio of coaches in Ligue 1. An entertaining set of matches – all of which ended 3-1 - provided differing fortunes for Leonardo Jardim, Paulo Sousa and André Villas-Boas.

The all-Brazilian semi-final of the Copa Libertadores played out its first leg on Wednesday evening, with Gremio and Flamengo producing an enthralling encounter which ended in a 1-1 draw in Porto Alegre.

Although the draw represents a decent result for Jorge Jesus’ side, there was a strong sense that Flamengo could have come away with more having asserted themselves superbly against one of the competition’s recent powerhouses.

The Portuguese forward registered a late consolation in a 3-1 defeat, but the nature of the strike represents a huge boost for the 20-year-old who joined the club from Lille in the summer.
