Portuguese midfielder Sérgio Oliveira completed his move to Italian side Roma on Wednesday, with both parties emphasising which qualities the former Porto man brings to the capital.
Roma agreed an initial loan deal with the Dragons, including the option to sign Oliveira permanently for €13.5m. José Mourinho’s side have been active early in the transfer window as they look to address inconsistent results, with Oliveira joining Arsenal loanee Ainsley Maitland-Niles who arrived last week.

Roma boss José Mourinho says his team were exceptional for 70 minutes against Juventus on Sunday night, but admitted that mentality problems cost the Giallorossi in throwing away a tremendous advantage.
Roma led their fierce rivals 3-1 with twenty minutes left on the clock, before conceding three times in the space of eight minutes. Mourinho’s side also missed a late penalty to salvage a point, leaving the Portuguese stunned at the dramatic capitulation in the Italian capital.
Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Bruno Lage has suggested Fábio Silva could be in line for more opportunities after staring in their 3-0 FA Cup victory over Sheffield United on Sunday.
Silva assisted the opening goal for Daniel Podence and impressed throughout as Wolves booked their place in the 4th round. Having struggled for game time this season, Silva has clearly pleased his coach with the display, as well as his efforts in training at Molineux.
Wolverhampton Wanderers followed up their triumph over Manchester United last week with a 3-0 win over Sheffield United this weekend to progress in the FA Cup. Daniel Podence was the star of the show for Bruno Lage’s side with two goals, and Nélson Semedo also scored for the first time this season.
Elsewhere, André Silva continues to show signs he is recapturing last season’s form in Germany with a brace for RB Leipzig against Mainz. There was also another goal for Beto in Serie A and Gonçalo Guedes in La Liga, while in the FA Cup André Gomes ended a long wait for an Everton goal and Bernardo Silva is on course for his best-ever goalscoring season after scoring for Man City.
