A lively game on the Lisbon coast this afternoon saw Estoril and Porto share the points after a hard-fought draw at the António Coimbra da Mota stadium.

Estoril went into the break leading thanks to Tiago Gouveia’s goal just before the break. Despite intense Porto pressure, the hosts held out until stoppage time when Mehdi Taremi equalised from the penalty spot. 

Gil Vicente scored two late goals in Barcelos to overturn a 2-0 deficit and earn a thrilling 2-2 draw against Rio Ave.

Guga gave the visitors the lead on the stroke of half-time before Aziz Yakubu finished a slick counterattack in the 71st minute.

Fran Navarro lobbed Jhonatan in the 80th minute before Guga was sent off to set up a grandstand finish. Murilo de Souza was the hero deep into added time, the ball sitting perfectly for the Brazilian who smashed it into the net.

Braga preserved top spot in Group D after a hard fought 1-0 win against Union Berlin in the Europa League.

A tight game was predicted at the Quarry and that’s what eventuated, Diogo Leite hitting the post for the visitors before Simon Banza’s shot was saved on the stroke of half time.

The breakthrough came in the 77th minute when Frederik Rönnow couldn’t clear André Horta’s swerving shot, Vitinha reacting fastest and firing the ball into the net.

It was the seventh straight victory for Artur Jorge’s side, 21 goals scored in that run with just two conceded.

Benfica made it 12 straight wins with a 2-1 victory against Juventus in the Champions League.

The Old Lady took the lead through in the 4th minute when Arkadiusz Milik headed home a free kick. Benfica began to get on top and equalized in the 43rd minute when João Mário converted a penalty.

Roger Schmidt’s side kept pressing after the break and were rewarded when David Neres put the Eagles ahead in the 55th minute. Juventus came home strong in the final stages, Bremer missing a fantastic chance to steal a point in the 87th minute.
