Porto picked up their first victory in the Europa League after beating Hoffenheim 2-0 at Estádio do Dragão.

The German club began well and missed a great chance to take the lead on the stroke half-time, Adam Hložek getting past Tiago Djaló and firing over the bar.

Porto immediately took the lead from a free kick, Nico González heading the ball to Djaló who found the bottom corner.

Anton Stach had a shocker in the 75th minute, allowing Samu Omorodion to steal the ball and score his eighth goal in eight appearances for the Dragons.

Vítor Bruno’s side cruised to the finish line to climb to 15th on the Europa League table.

Vitória overcame a hostile environment and having to play on an artificial pitch to write another golden chapter in their incredible European season this afternoon with a 2-1 victory in Sweden against Djurgarden to set a new record.

It was an eighth successive victory in this season’s Conference League for Rui Borges’ men, including the qualifiers, which is the longest ever winning run in UEFA club competition matches by a Portuguese team. 

The Bruno Lage train skidded off the rails in Lisbon tonight as Benfica’s six-match winning run under the new coach came to an abrupt end against Feyenoord in the Champions League.

Ayase Ueda gave the Dutch team an early lead and Feyenoord penetrated Benfica’s defence with alarming ease all night, doubling their lead in the 33rd minute through Antoni Milambo.

The Eagles got back into the game thanks to yet another Kerem Aktürkoglu goal in the 66th minute, but could not work up a head of steam. And Milambo’s second goal to seal the deal late on summed up Benfica’s night with the home defence falling asleep when defending a free kick.

Braga suffered a second straight defeat in the Europa League after a last gasp 2-1 loss to Bodo/Glimt.

Philip Zinckernagel hit the bar in the first half before Hakon Evjen put the Norwegian champions ahead in the 53rd minute.

Sikou Niakaté equalised 11 minutes later but his joy would be short lived, the centre-back picking up two rapid fire bookings which saw himself sent off.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side went close to taking the lead on two occasions but were unable to beat man of the match Nikita Haikin.

Bodo/Glimt stole all three points with the final chance of the contest, Villads Nielsen steering Patrick Berg’s corner past Matheus.
