Everton 1-2 Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo reached another milestone on Sunday evening as a winner for Manchester United away at Everton saw him score his 700th goal in club football.
United came from behind to earn a deserved victory at Goodison Park and Ronaldo’s introduction as an early substitute proved crucial for the Red Devils, with the Portugal captain grabbing the deciding goal in the build-up to half time.
Wednesday night’s action proved fruitful for Portuguese goalscorers, with two Luso forwards battling it out as RB Leipzig overcame Celtic in one of the evening’s early matches. André Silva scored twice for Leipzig after Jota had scored what appeared a crucial equaliser, giving the Germans their first win in this season’s competition.

Wolverhampton Wanderers confirmed the departure of manager Bruno Lage on Sunday, bringing to an end the Portuguese’s 16 months in charge of the Premier League club.
Lage’s dismissal comes after the previous day’s 2-0 defeat to West Ham United, which saw Wolves drop into the relegation zone and extended their poor form to just one victory in their last sixteen matches in the league.

Former Manchester United captain and club legend Roy Keane has criticised Manchester United’s treatment of Cristiano Ronaldo, after the Portugal captain did not play a single minute of their 6-3 humiliation at the hand of rivals Manchester City.
United found themselves 4-0 down at half time and trailed 6-1 until scoring a couple of consolation goals through substitute Anthony Martial. Ronaldo, who has now been left out of United’s last five Premier League matches, cut a frustrated and solemn figure on the sidelines as boss Erik ten Hag introduced five substitutes ahead of him.
