Marco Silva has returned to English football with Championship club Fulham on a three-year contract, the London club announced on Thursday evening.
Just 24 hours after Nuno Espírito Santo took charge of Tottenham Hotspur, Silva also heads to the capital for what is his fourth job in England after 18 months out of the game.
Nuno Espírito Santo has been named the new coach of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur, filling the role left by countryman José Mourinho in April.
The announcement comes after Nuno was linked with a host of jobs in football following his departure from Wolverhampton Wanderers after four years at Molineux. Nuno was succeeded at Wolves by Bruno Lage, meaning Portugal will be represented by two managers in the upcoming Premier League season.
Atletico Madrid forward João Félix will have an operation on a long-term ankle injury this week, with the aim of returning to action for Los Rojiblancos in September.
The Portugal international has been carrying the problem in his right ankle since last November, after which a course of conservative treatment saw him carefully managed during the second half of the season as Atletico won Spain’s La Liga title.

Gennaro Gattuso has left his job as manager of Fiorentina after just 23 days in charge, and his agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly at the centre of disputes which have led to his early departure.
Former Italy international Gattuso was hired by Fiorentina on 25 May to replace Beppe Iachini, making a swift return to management having left Napoli at the end of the Serie A season. Mendes was heavily involved in the deal, having previously been in talks to place Paulo Fonseca in Florence after his tenure at Roma ended.
